Ukraine has announced the start of mass production for a new locally engineered defensive UAV to enhance its air defences. The first three producers have begun production, with an additional eleven preparing to set up production lines, Ukrainian military officials announced this past Friday.

Advanced 'Octopus' System Proven in Battlefield Situations

These UAVs utilize a nationally created technology called “Octopus” engineered to intercept Iranian-made drones. The system underwent testing in actual battle and demonstrated successful “at night, amid electronic warfare and flying low,” the ministry stated. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy established a target of producing up to 1,000 defensive drones daily.

Latest Attack on the Capital Described as Calculated
