Three Athletes Shortlisted for Young Athlete of the Year Award

Lionesses forward Michelle Agyemang, darts prodigy Luke Littler and batswoman Davina Perrin have been selected as contenders for the 2025 Young Sports Personality of the Year award.
The trio have been celebrated for their exceptional achievements over the last year.
Agyemang was instrumental as the Lionesses win Euro 2025, Littler claimed the world title for the very first time, and Perrin rose to fame with a record-breaking innings.
Littler was the recipient in 2024 after his breakthrough year.
The shortlisted athletes were revealed during a live broadcast on a national radio breakfast show.
The 2025 recipient will be unveiled on the annual sports awards show on December 18th.
The event will be broadcast from 19:00 GMT.
Agyemang's Profile

A mere three months after her first cap for her country, Agyemang played a crucial and game-changing role in England's run to European Championship victory.
She was introduced as a substitute to score vital last-gasp goals in both the knockout stage games.
These match-saving moments led to her being named Young Player of the Tournament.
Subsequently, she was awarded the prestigious Golden Girl honour for the finest emerging star on the continent.
She was also shortlisted for the Kopa Trophy for the world's best under-21 female player.
Agyemang, who has been playing for Brighton on loan from Arsenal, sustained a serious knee injury in October.
"To be named a finalist for this honour is incredible," said Agyemang. "I'm grateful to God and I'm appreciative of the support I've received from my loved ones, mentors, colleagues and supporters."
The Darts Prodigy

Littler's 2025 began in spectacular fashion as - while still 17 - he became the youngest darts world champion in history.
He secured a commanding win over Michael van Gerwen in the final.
His follow-up triumph at the World Matchplay made him only the fifth individual to complete the prestigious PDC Triple Crown.
He didn't stop there - his triumph in November's Grand Slam of Darts meant he reached world number one for the very first time.
At 18, he is the most youthful player to do so, breaking the previous record.
"Earning a spot on the shortlist for Young Sports Personality of the Year is a huge privilege," stated Littler. "Last year's win was a highlight for me and I've had another unbelievable 12 months. I want to continue promoting darts."
The Cricket Sensation

Perrin is one of English cricket's brightest emerging stars and rose to fame with an unbelievable and unprecedented innings in August.
Her brilliant 42-ball century in The Hundred is the fastest by an English woman in T20s.
It also stands as the shared third-fastest women's T20 century in a premier tournament.
Perrin ended up as runner-up in the batting rankings and was named the young player of the year by the PCA.
"I'm deeply humbled to be shortlisted for the Young Sports Star award," expressed Perrin. "This is phenomenal. I hope it inspires more girls to get into cricket."
