Loyal supporters of the actress are urging that a person who jumped a barricade and grabbed the actress during the recent Wicked: For Good launch be detained or removed from Singapore.

A viral clip reveals the person identified as Johnson Wen pushing past media personnel and lunging at Grande while the actors walked down a promenade accompanied by supporters.

Fellow actress Cynthia Erivo promptly wrested the stunned actress away from Mr Wen, who was seen being removed of the gathering by guards.

Mr Wen stated on Instagram late on Thursday that he was "free after being detained", though official papers revealed that he was set to be present on the following morning. It is not clear if he was formally accused.

Pattern of Incidents

This is part of a pattern for Mr Wen, who calls himself a "Notorious Troublemaker", has disrupted a celebrity gathering. His Instagram account includes videos of him disturbing other high-profile occasions, including rushing the platform at Katy Perry's Sydney performance in earlier this year and in a comparable manner during The Chainsmokers event in the city last winter.

"There needs to be action enforced against him as this is clearly a legal violation," wrote an Instagram follower, in a response to a video Mr Wen shared of his actions.

"This appears to be a habit... why are you not imprisoned?" a different Instagram user remarked.

Fans Show Disapproval Over Grande's Past Trauma

Several followers blamed Mr Wen for "re-traumatising" Grande, who had discussed suffering from trauma-related anxiety after a suicide bomb attack at the conclusion of her 2017 show in Manchester, resulting in the death of 22 people and injuring many.

"After everything she's faced... including the Manchester attack, you considered it entertaining to rush the barrier?" wrote a further response on Instagram.

A number of supporters also criticised guards at the gathering for not being sufficiently alert; while different individuals called for online networks to block Mr Wen's videos.

Reaction and Premiere Information

In clips circulating online, Grande seemed shocked when she was grabbed by the individual. Her fellow actors Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be spotted reassuring her while Mr Wen was escorted away by guards.

Grande has not issued a statement on the event, and the rest of the event continued without further issues.
