Ex- Physician Faces Sexual Assault Allegations Against Thirty-Eight Patients
Legal authorities have stated that a former doctor has been charged with carrying out assaults against 38 individuals who were under his care.
Details of the Serious Allegations
Nathaniel Spencer from Birmingham faces allegations of numerous acts of sexual assault – comprising some against children younger than 13 – spanning the period from 2017 to 2021.
A senior prosecutor commented, “Our prosecutors have worked at length to assist a thorough and intricate investigation, meticulously examining the available evidence to determine that there is a strong case to proceed to trial and that it is in the public interest.”
The Police Inquiry
The charges follow what investigators described as a “detailed inquiry” into reported assaults at two hospitals: the Royal Stoke university hospital and Russells Hall hospital.
Spencer will appear at the North Staffordshire justice centre on January 20th.

The charging documents outline the forty-five charges he is charged with:
- Fifteen counts of assault.
- 17 counts of penetrative assault.
- 9 counts of assault on a minor under thirteen.
- 3 counts of assault of a child under 13 by penetration.
- One count of attempted penetrative assault.
