Administration Condemns 'Democratic Fabrication' as Further Jeffrey Epstein Photographs Disclosed
Democratic lawmakers have published a additional set of what they described as "troubling" images from the property of adjudicated sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, featuring notably Donald Trump, Bill Clinton, and ex-UK prince Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor.
The opening batch of 19 images—some of which have been seen before—plus another 70 released later on Friday account for a minuscule portion of the nearly 100,000 images released to the House investigative panel, which is probing the conduct and connections of Epstein.
The disgraced financier died by an apparent self-inflicted death in a New York prison cell in 2019 after being indicted on sex-trafficking crimes.
High-Profile Individuals in the Images
Among the prominent personalities seen in the opening set are public figures including film director Woody Allen; Microsoft creator Bill Gates; and Richard Branson, founder of the Virgin empire.
Donald Trump is pictured in three of the first nineteen images. In one, he is pictured with six women, whose faces are obscured.
Administration Statement
The White House responded to the release in a official comment, alleging Democrats of selectively "cherry-picking" the pictures for political purposes and to "try and create a false account."
"The Democrat hoax against President Trump has been repeatedly debunked," a White House spokesperson said, maintaining that "the Trump administration has done more for Epstein's victims than Democrats have at any point by repeatedly calling for disclosure, making public thousands of pages of records, and urging more inquiries into Epstein's liberal connections."
Congressional Democrat Statement
The images were released devoid of explanation, but according to a California Democrat and senior member of the oversight committee, they prompt further inquiries about Epstein's associations with affluent people.
"The moment has come to end this White House concealment and deliver justice to the victims of Jeffrey Epstein and his powerful friends," he declared in a release.
The disclosure of these materials comes as the House panel proceeding with its probe into the Epstein matter.
